This project is near design completion and was proposed to be a two phase development. The original scheme was to include two towers each approximately 15 stories in height with 3 levels of parking structure below the towers.

The structure has been designed using load bearing concrete walls and a Hambro floor system.

This project involves the construction of 6 storey 350 bed student residence having a gross building area is approximately 12,223 m2(131,560 ft2). The building is a 5 storey structure , with the residential wings constructed as precast planks on load bearing masonry wall.

Rise Student Apartments London

This project construction type is the first of it’s kind in London. The exterior bearing walls and interior corridor walls are constructed of Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) Construction.
The floors are constructed using precast concrete planks spanning from a single load bearing corridor wall to the exterior bearing wall. This construction method was chosen by the Owner to speed up construction and to reduce the life cycle costs throughout the life of the building.

This development involves the construction of 4 new buildings on the corner of Columbia Rd and Phillip Street. There are 2-25 storey apartment buildings fronting Phillip Street, with a 6 storey podium linking the two apartments together. There is also a 17 storey building and a 12 storey building to the east of the 25 storey towers. Below all of these towers are up to 2 levels of underground parking

The project involved the design of a 13 storey structure. Reinforced concrete
was used for the suspended slab and the load bearing/shear walls. Concrete was selected to reduce the amount of steel weight due to the high cost of steel at the time of construction.
